Freestanding monument, erected c. 1950, comprising stepped limestone base, square-profile rusticated plinth with carved cornice, marble plaques, and circular panels having copper panel with three-quarter posed portrait in relief and carved limestone decoration in relief. Square-profile carved limestone shaft above with marble colonnettes to corners having carved limestone bands and pinnacles, surmounted by carved limestone Celtic cross with Celtic interlace patterns and bosses. Monument surrounded by decorative cast-iron railings set on dressed limestone plinth.
