What is recorded here

Freestanding gateway, built c.1845, as entrance to Queen's College. Pointed arch vehicular entrance with lower pedestrian entrance to north, set in squared limestone crenellated wall with central carved crest. Stepped ashlar surrounds to gateways with wrought-iron gates. Now forms entrance to University College Cork.
