Freestanding circular-plan single-bay two-stage lighthouse, dated 1824, with glazed lantern. Renovated internally, 1931, truncated 1941, and converted to electric light, 1979. Conical roof to cast-iron lantern. Cut-stone stone walls with base batter and having consoles below lantern. Cast-iron railings surrounding lantern. Timber sliding sash windows. Timber panelled door. Interior features include cut-stone cantilevered spiral staircase, cast-iron pillar to first floor and cast-iron internal doors. Two-bay single-storey wing to right with single-bay single-storey screen wall having integral carriage arch to rear. Detached eight-bay single-storey outbuilding. Cut-stone gate piers.
