Freestanding gable-fronted double-height Roman Catholic church, built 1842, with three-bay side elevations. Projecting porch added to entrance and sacristy added to rear, 1969. Pitched artificial slate with metal cross finials. Roughcast rendered walls with cut-stone quoins. Lancet opening with cut-stone surrounds and leaded glass. Timber doors. Retaining interior features. Brass plaque in porch : "This porch has been erected / as a memorial to the late Mike McTigue / World light heavyeight champion boxer / 1923-25 by his friends in the USA / born in Kilnamona 1892 died in New York 1966 /R.I.P. / Dec. 1969". Cast-iron belfry to site. Cut-stone gate piers set in rubble stone crenellated boundary walls.
