Detached two-bay single-storey house, built c.1870, now in use as a shop. The house is finished in render with block and start quoins. There is a flight of stone steps which rise to the front door. The c.1920s shopfront has a central door with shop windows to either side; these are flanked by narrow timber pilasters. The other window is now blocked with an additional sign. The pitched roof in finished with natural slate. The chimneystack has a slightly corbelled cap and no pot. The signboard is painted. The house is road fronted at the approach to the Avoca River.
