Detached three-bay two-storey part double-pile farmhouse, extant 1840, on a T-shaped plan originally three-bay two-storey single-pile on a rectangular plan centred on single-bay two-storey flat-roofed projecting breakfront. "Improved", ----, producing present composition. Pitched part double-pile (M-profile) slate roof centred on flat bitumen felt roof (breakfront) with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond off-central chimney stack having stepped capping, concrete or rendered coping to gables, and no rainwater goods surviving on rendered slate flagged eaves with cast-iron rainwater goods to rear (west) elevation on rendered eaves. Roughcast battered walls bellcast over rendered plinth; rendered surface finish to rear (west) elevation. Square-headed central door opening approached by flight of three concrete steps with concealed dressings framing timber panelled door. Square-headed window openings with concrete sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings to rear (west) elevation with concrete sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes. Set back from road in landscaped grounds with limewashed piers to perimeter supporting flat iron "farm gate".
