Detached three-bay two-storey house, extant 1783, on a square plan with three-bay two-storey side elevations. Occupied, 1901; 1911. Flat-topped copper-covered hipped slate roof on a quadrangular plan with pressed or rolled copper ridges, rendered chimney stacks on axis with ridge having concrete capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta octagonal pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on slightly overhanging timber boarded eaves having timber consoles. Part creeper- or ivy-covered rendered walls with vermiculated rendered quoins to corners. Square-headed central door opening with step threshold, and concealed dressings with "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed hood moulding on "Acanthus"-detailed scroll consoles framing glazed timber panelled door having sidelights on panelled risers below overlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and moulded rendered surrounds with panelled pilasters supporting "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed hood mouldings on "Acanthus"-detailed consoles framing fixed-pane timber (ground floor) or eight-over-eight timber sash (first floor) windows. Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining encaustic tiled floor, carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors, and egg-and-dart-detailed plasterwork cornice to ceiling centred on decorative plasterwork ceiling rose; drawing room (north-east) retaining carved timber surround to door opening framing timber panelled door with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled reveals or shutters, and "Cavetto" cornice to ceiling; dining room (north-west) retaining carved timber surround to door opening framing timber panelled door with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled reveals or shutters, and picture railing below "Acanthus"-detailed plasterwork cornice to ceiling centred on decorative plasterwork ceiling rose; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled reveals or shutters.
