Terraced three-bay four-storey house, c.1800. Extensively renovated, pre-1880, with rendered façade enrichments added. Renovated with replacement shopfront inserted to ground floor incorporating fabric of earlier shopfront, pre-1880. Pitched slate roof behind parapet with terracotta ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stack having stepped capping, and concealed rainwater goods having cast-iron hopper and downpipe. Rendered, ruled and lined walls over red brick construction (bond not discernible) with rendered façade enrichments, pre-1880, including full-height pilasters to upper floors, stringcourse to top floor supporting frieze having raised lettering to centre, moulded stringcourse supporting parapet incorporating garlands/swags having panelled (hollow) stops, rectangular recessed panel to centre on consoles having raised lettering, segmental pediment having moulded surround incorporating keystone, floral or foliate detailing to tympanum, rendered coping to parapet on moulded course, and exposed red brick (bond not discernible) construction to rear (east) elevation. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills on dentilated fluted consoles, moulded rendered lugged surrounds, post-1880, over concealed red brick block-and-start surrounds having moulded rendered surrounds to top floor, and replacement one-over-one timber sash windows, pre-1880. Replacement shopfront to ground floor incorporating fabric of earlier shopfront, pre-1880, with fluted half-octagonal piers on cut-granite octagonal padstones, fixed-pane display windows, glazed double doors, glazed aluminium panelled door to house having sidelight, and panelled fascia having raised lettering over. Street fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.
