Dubross — Trinity Street

Attached three-bay two-storey house, extant 1882, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay (two-bay deep) two-storey lower central return (west). Occupied, 1901; 1911. Pitched slate roof on a T-shaped plan centred on pitched slate roof (west) with clay ridge tiles, coping to gables with rendered red brick Running bond chimney stacks to apexes having chevron- or saw tooth-detailed stringcourses below chamfered capping supporting tallow terracotta octagonal or tapered pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered walls. Square-headed central door opening approached by two cut-granite steps, timber doorcase with panelled pilasters on cut-granite padstones supporting shallow cornice on flush beaded frieze on fluted scroll consoles, and concealed dressings framing timber panelled door having overlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings to rear (west) elevation with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows. Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors, and plasterwork cornice to ceiling; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled shutters. Street fronted with cast-iron railings to perimeter centred on cast-iron gate.
