Terraced two-bay four-storey house, c.1800. Renovated, pre-1880, with rendered façade enrichments added. Renovated, post-1900, with shopfront inserted to ground floor. Now in use as offices to upper floors. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks over red brick construction, rendered coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered stepped eaves having iron ties. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with section of concealed red brick irregular bond construction following course of chimney. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills (on corbels to second floor), rendered dressings, pre-1880, including surrounds to first floor having triangular pediments on shared entablature, moulded surrounds to second floor, moulded heeled surrounds to top floor, six-over-six and three-over-three (top floor) timber sash windows without horns. Timber shopfront, post-1900, to ground floor on a symmetrical plan with panelled (hollow) pilasters on cut-stone padstones, fixed-pane window, glazed timber panelled door on cut-granite step having overlight, timber panelled door to house having overlight, fascia having decorative consoles, and cornice on fluted corbels. Interior with entrance hall having decorative clay-tiled floor, carved timber surrounds to door openings having timber panelled doors or glazed timber panelled doors, timber staircase with turned timber balustrade incorporating paired newels supporting carved timber (mahogany) handrail, carved timber surrounds to window openings having timber panelled reveals and/or shutters on panelled risers, carved cut-pink marble chimneypieces with one cast-iron chimneypiece, and run-moulded plasterwork cornices to some ceilings. Street fronted with cobbled footpath to front.
