Freestanding monument, erected c.1913, comprising limestone ashlar Celtic cross with Celtic strap-work over limestone plinth and base. North facing elevation has decorative carved Celtic scroll with inscription and a carved human head. On south elevation is a coat of arms. Monument is surrounded by cast-iron railings with hammered spikes and cut and hammered decorative finials. Located in prominent position at road junction, outside of the former Market House, facing down Main Street towards the bridge.
