What is recorded here

Detached ten-bay two-storey garda station, built in 1947. Consists of a nine-bay two-storey main block and a single-bay two-storey section set back from building line to east. Constructed of plain red brick with limestone plinth to base. Flat roof hidden behind parapet with limestone coping (check). Square-headed openings with replacement windows and stone sills (check), oculus opening to first floor on recessed bay. Square-headed doorcase with timber panelled doors to set-back end bay with elaborate limestone surround consisting of Ionic entablature supported on console brackets. Copper Garda crest above doorcase and a Garda lantern to immediate west. Street-fronted with yard to rear.
