Pair of three-bay single-storey gate lodges, built c. 1830, now disused. Hipped slate roofs, clay ridge and hip tiles, some cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast-rendered walling. Pointed arch window openings, smooth rendered reveals, painted stone sills (rendered to north lodge), painted timber multiple-pane casement windows, traceried fanlight. Square-headed door openings, painted timber vertically-sheeted doors. Attached roughcast-rendered structure to north lodge. Roughcast-rendered boundary walls to north and south; central entrance gateway, roughcast-rendered gate piers, tooled limestone caps, metal gates; wrought-iron gates and railings to driveway. Lodges set to either side of entrance gateway leading to Barmeath Castle to west.
