Detached three-bay (two-bay deep) two-storey house, built 1877, on a rectangular plan. Set in landscaped grounds with cast-iron piers to perimeter having stringcourses below pyramidal capping supporting crocketed cast-iron double gates. NOTE: Grattan Lodge was built for Pauline Castiglione Mary Grattan-Bellew (1833-1908) to designs by James Forth Kempster (1816-83) of Galway.
