Ballyneale House

Detached five-bay two-storey house, c.1825, on an L-shaped plan with single-bay single-storey gabled projecting porch to centre ground floor having lean-to flanking box bay windows, and two-bay two-storey return to west. Extensively renovated possibly with porch added. Pitched slate roof on an L-shaped plan (gabled to porch; lean-to to bay windows) with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks (red brick Running bond chimney stack to return), rendered coping, decorative timber bargeboards to porch, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods on overhanging rendered cut-stone eaves. Unpainted roughcast walls. Square-headed window openings (originally in tripartite arrangement to bay windows) with cut-limestone sills, and replacement uPVC casement windows. Square-headed door opening with glazed timber panelled double doors. Square-headed door opening to house with timber panelled door. Interior with timber panelling including reveals/shutters to window openings. Set back from road in own grounds. (ii) Detached two-bay single-storey coach house with half-attic, post-1840, to west with camber-headed carriageway to left. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods. Random rubble limestone walls. Square-headed window openings with no sills, lintels, and timber fittings. Camber-headed carriageway to left with red brick voussoirs having keystone, and no fittings. (iii) Detached single-bay single-storey outbuilding, post-1840, to west. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, and no rainwater goods on rendered rubble limestone eaves. Random rubble limestone walls. Square-headed door opening with lintel, and timber door.
