Gateway, dated 1819, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cusp-detailed limestone ashlar panelled piers on moulded cushion courses on benchmark-inscribed plinths having shallow pyramidal capping on blind friezes on stringcourses supporting arrow- and spear head-detailed wrought iron double gates. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Saint John's Church.
