Late medieval castle, c. 1575, converted to three-storey over dungeon gaol, c. 1720. Enlarged to north, c. 1795, with crenellated parapet. Used as police barracks c. 1830 to 1891, now private house. Possibly containing fabric from fifteenth-century castle.
