Calshot Seaplane Base served as a crucial facility for the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Naval Air Service, and later the Royal Air Force from 1913 to 1961, playing a significant role in early aviation development and hosting the High Speed Flight which won the Schneider Trophy three consecutive times.
