Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Barra as Grave (viking), Comb (bone)(viking). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Viking burial site, likely 9th to 11th century AD, containing a bone comb. This indicates Norse settlement or influence in the area during the Viking Age.
