Callernish

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Callernish as Cairn (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Callernish is a Neolithic chambered cairn, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE. It is significant as part of a broader network of megalithic monuments in the Scottish Outer Hebrides, reflecting early ceremonial and funerary practices.
