Field system in Murrooghkilly

Field system

What is recorded here

Murrooghkilly Mountain drops its western shelf into the Caher River valley, where six hundred metres of ancient boundary stones still divide the dark earth. Prehistoric hands may have drawn the first lines before medieval feet widened them, creating a vast grid that survives beneath grass and memory. Ros Ó Maoldúin pointed this hidden geometry back to human attention, proving that even forgotten fields keep their shape when nobody watches. The mountain holds its breath around those markers, waiting for someone to walk the long forgotten rows and remember what ownership meant before roads arrived.
