Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Muckanagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight southwest-facing slope at the southwest end of a northeast-southwest drumlin, with Kilglass Lough four hundred metres east and Grange Lough two hundred metres west. A circular grass-covered area measuring fifty-eight metres north-south and fifty-seven point four metres east-west is defined by an earthen bank, hedge and outer fosse, with a modernised entrance at the south-southwest.
On a slight SW-facing slope at the SW end of a slight NE-SW drumlin with Kilglass Lough c. 400m to the E and Grange Lough c. 200m to the W. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 58m N-S; 57.4m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-3.7m; int. H 0.5-1.3m; ext. H 1-1.6m) and hedge wtih an outer fosse (Wth of top 2.6-4.4m; Wth of base 1.3-2.2m; D 0.2-0.6m). There is a modernised entrance (Wth 2.7m) at SSW. Rath (RO023-0041----) is c. 170m to the ESE and rath (RO023-040----) is c. 180m to the SE.
