What is recorded here

Crannog is a lost island in Moynaghan North, county Fermanagh, now hidden beneath water. It may have been a small home, a hidden shrine or a forgotten anchor in the lake, but the water has taken its shape and proof. What remains is a point on a map and a name that refuses to disappear.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CRANNOG (now submerged). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
