What is recorded here

Thirty metres of forgotten circle, cut in two by a newer ringfort, still shadows the Cork soil. It may have stood before the fortress arrived, losing its eastern edge to the bigger claim. The land remembers enclosure long after people stop naming it.

Cropmark of arc of fosse (SE->NE) visible in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989), adjoining W perimeter of levelled ringfort (12800). Possibly remains of circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) which predated and was truncated on E side by ringfort. Enclosure (13791) immediately to NE; possible circular enclosure (13695) c. 50m to WNW; circular enclosure (13637) c. 40m to SW. Within field system (12019).
