Neolithic passage tomb; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3700–3000 BCE). Its presence indicates early agricultural settlement and ritual activity in the Ballymeelish area.

What is recorded here

In undulating countryside. A circular low earthen mound (diam. c. 11m, H c. 1.8m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
