What is recorded here

Castle Hill in Moray, Scotland may have hidden a medieval castle, though no wall or room remains visible to test that claim. The hill itself still stands, holding the possibility of towers, guards and fires above the surrounding land. People may have lived under that stone, feared it or simply avoided it, but the earth kept the shape while human evidence disappeared.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Hill as Castle (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
