Brodie Castle Policies holds a small two-storey gardeners lodge built after 1561, joined to the south end of the northwest outer garden wall. Its first-floor gable window faces the garden, while the northeast side carries a door, windows and a lean-to shed. A separate lean-to vinery once stood to the southwest, but it has been removed. The lodge still belongs to the practical world of Brodie Castle, where keeping plants alive mattered more than grand display.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Brodie Castle Policies as Gardeners Lodge (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Brodie Castle Policies were part of the estate of Brodie Castle, held by the Brodie family, a prominent Scottish clan, from the 16th century onwards. The site is important as it reflects the historical layout and management of a significant Scottish noble estate.
