What is recorded here

Indicated is a five-metre-deep drystone well crouching beside a Galway graveyard, feeding a village that tradition places to the south. It is the kind of water that does not ask permission before entering a life, rising through dark soil to fill cups, cool fevers and sustain children through fever summers. The stones still hold the shape of that dependence, waiting for hands remembered only through the drinking they made possible.

Within the SE quadrant of an ecclesiastical enclosure (GA083-060003-) and immediately outside the SE wall of a graveyard (GA083-060002-). This deep well (10m WNW-ESE; 8.3m NNE-SSW; D 5m) is enclosed by a drystone wall. According to local tradition, it supplied water to a village that was located to the S of the enclosure.
