End-of-terrace two-bay three-storey house, built c.1860. Later flat roof extension to side (south) elevation surmounted by recent lean-to conservatory. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystack, render eaves corbels, metal finials to corners, cast-iron rainwater goods and recent rooflight. Rendered walls throughout, having render sill bands and tooled limestone quoins. Moulded render impost band to first floor, incorporating label mouldings of windows. Diminishing camber-headed window openings with limestone sills to first and second floors of front (south-east) elevation. Rendered surrounds with lozenge mouldings, having moulded render floral pendants to first floor and rendered moulded oculus motifs to second floor. Square-headed window opening to ground floor of front elevation having stone sill, rendered surround having lozenge moulding with oculus motif. Round-headed window opening to ground floor of front elevation in location of former door opening, having ashlar limestone block-and-start surround and voussoirs. uPVC casement windows throughout. Round-headed door opening to front elevation of later extension, having tooled limestone block-and-start surround and voussoirs, having uPVC door and fanlight. Rendered plinth wall with cast-iron railings and cast-iron gate to front. Rendered wall connected to front elevation running south-east to square-profile rendered gate pier.

Part of a five building terrace, this building and its neighbours make an imposing group in the streetscape. Comprising a handsome design of central three-bay block flanked by lower pairs of two-bay houses, it is an notable architectural piece. The finely executed stone work and render detailing articulate the terrace. Though some historic fabric has been replaced, it retains notable original features including cast-iron railings, timber sliding sash windows and slate roofs. It is thought to have formally functioned as a military barracks in the nineteenth century.
