What is recorded here

Monaparson held a double-walled earthen ring about twenty-five metres across, drawn clearly on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map before pasture and plough erased it. The land keeps no ridge or ditch for modern hands to touch, yet the survey line still traces a small defended or ceremonial space on a south-east-facing slope. People may have lived, gathered or excluded others within those vanished walls, while later fields turned the arrangement into forgetfulness.

Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as hachured bi-vallate enclosure (diam. c. 25m). In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
