What is recorded here

Milltown cross stands half-buried in a flat Irish field, its worn shaft no taller than a child. It marks old prayer, lost names and the patience of stone. People may have passed it for centuries, touching it quietly before entering the church. The cross still holds that much, even when every name has forgotten it.
Located in a level landscape. The shaft of a cross (dims 0.22m x. 0.13m; H 0.85m) is across the road in Milltown townland to the SE of St. Nicholas's church (ME024-005----) and graveyard (ME024-005002-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 19 June, 2014

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
