What is recorded here
Located on a rise in flat to undulating ground with views over Ballysadare Bay and Knocknarea. Reputedly a midden was discovered at this bivallate ringfort (SL020-039001-). According to Wood-Martin a 'tenant, in order to repair a fallen fence, made some excavations on the northern periphery of the inner vallum' where he found 'shells of various crustacea, fragments of oyster shells predominating,'(1887-8, 258). There is no indication of the midden.
