Inisherkin is a small islet in Clew Bay, County Mayo, where a ringfort still marks an early medieval home. The bay throws up dozens of green drumlins like drowned hills, but this one held a circular enclosure for people and livestock between the fifth and twelfth centuries. To reach it, you need a boat and patience for changing water; to see it, you need eyes trained to find a shallow ridge instead of a grand wall.
Inisherkin is recorded as a islet in County Mayo. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
