Banshagh is a man-made underground passage inside a ringfort in County Kerry. A circular opening in the outer bank and a collapsed hollow within suggest a stone-corbelled route running south. The passage may have let people leave the fort quietly when danger appeared, or simply give the old place a hidden heartbeat beneath its grassy edge.

In a ringfort (KE056-030----). A circular opening (diam. 0.9m; min. D 1.2m) is visible in the base of the exterior bank at NW. A corresponding depression (L c. 4m; Wth c. 1.4m; D c. 0.45m) in the interior at NW is possibly a slumped passage.
