A hidden chamber in Ardagh was uncovered in April 1986, revealing a circular drystone space about 4.5m across and 3m deep. Its sudden appearance in an open field may have startled the people who worked the land, for they soon filled two such chambers back up because animals were being injured. The third was also closed, erasing the passage from sight while leaving behind a quiet warning that the ground there was not empty.

Situated NE of a rath (KE009-045001-), this site has extensive views in all direction. When visited in April 1987, two mounds of rubble existed in the field. These were originally chambers that had to be filled in due to their causing injury to animals. During April 1986 a third chamber was uncovered which was constructed of drystone walling. It is difficult to give detailed measurements due to the infill, but it would appear to have had a diameter of c. 4.5m and a depth of c. 3m.
