What is recorded here
One platform rise in Malone Upper, County Antrim. A tall circular fort stood above the land, visible for miles and likely owned by a local elite family during the early Christian period. The name PLATFORM RATH still fits the shape because the ground itself became a stage for human pride.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
