What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular ringfort in County Galway, Ireland, sitting 250m SE of another fort. Its inner bank, fosse and surviving outer traces still mark a 38m home or stronghold, while the 4m SE gap and causeway show where people entered. The nearby CBG adds life to the place, making it a small cluster rather than a lonely mound.

Some 250m SE of a ringfort (GA056-109----). Known locally as 'Lisheen', this circular ringfort (D 38m), in fair condition, is defined by an inner bank, intervening fosse with traces of an outer bank at S. A gap (Wth 4m) and causeway at SE appear original. A field wall curving from N to ESE may overlie the line of the outer bank. A CBG (GA056-110001-) associated.
