Terraced three-bay single-storey house, c.1780, retaining early fenestration. Reroofed, post-1999. Pitched roof with replacement corrugated-uPVC, post-1999, replacement uPVC ridge tiles, post-1999, replacement cement rendered (shared) chimney stacks, post-1999, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, post-1999, on timber eaves retaining early cast-iron downpipe. Painted roughcast lime rendered walls with rendered strips to ends. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 1/1 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber boarded door. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.

An appealing small-scale house of vernacular form and appearance that has been reasonably well maintained, retaining its original form and massing, together with substantial quantities of the early fabric, including lime render to the walls, and timber sash windows. The replacement materials to the roof are not in keeping with the original integrity of the composition, but may be considered to be of some vernacular interest in the future. The house makes a discreet contribution to the streetscape quality of New Street and, together with the remainder of the houses in the terrace, conforms to the topography of the sloping site through the use of a stepped roofline.
