What is recorded here

Situated on a steep-sloping SE face of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area (diam. 34m E-W) enclosed by a well-preserved earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 2m; ext. H 2-5m at N) with a deep narrow fosse (Wth 2m) visible from S through W to N. The interior slopes steeply from NW to SE and there is a causewayed entrance (Wth 2.2m) at ESE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
