Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c.1870, standing within elevated rectangular enclosure having rendered concrete walls. Pump comprises cylindrical shaft with moulded bands, spout with moulded bucket grip, cow's tail pumping handle, fluted neck and domed cap, latter with pointed finial. Limestone trough placed in front to catch water and for animals to drink from.
