Indicated is a divided fairy fort in County Cavan, marked 'Fort' on the 1836 and 1876 maps, with half the site erased beneath a field boundary and the original entrance lost. The low earthen bank and narrow trench still outline an oval chamber where cattle or children may once have moved, but no gate remains for them to use. What is left is a threshold without a door, half visible and half forgotten.

Site is divided into two unequal portions by a field boundary running NE-SW, NW of which there is nothing visible at ground level. Original entrance not recognisable. Lisdonan is a likely early-medieval ringfort, indicated by its oval shape, enclosing bank, and ditch, typical of such settlements in Ireland. Though folklore is not specifically recorded for this site, like many similar forts, it may have later been associated with local fairy tradition due to its mysterious and ancient appearance.
