The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Reputed site of seventh-century foundation by St Colman, situated on top of ridge close to sea. Paving unearthed during ploughing. No visible surface trace. (CLAJ 1943, 206).
