What is recorded here

One record describes a small oval graveyard beside a ruined church where a child died at two, while another describes a square graveyard beside an active church where people still bury their dead. Both point to the same Grange area, but they contradict each other on shape, condition and purpose. The child's marble and the living gateway may belong to different places, different times or different memories.

Associated with the church (GA117-065001-), this roughly square graveyard (c. 70m NNE-SSW; c. 70m ENE-WSW) is defined by four stone walls. Access is through an entrance gateway at S. Headstones date from the 18th century and it is still in use. Just inside the entrance is a medieval font (GA117-065004-). Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 17 October 2017
