Cross-slab in Lemanaghan

Cross-slab

What is recorded here

In the 7th century, Manchán founded a monastery at Lemanaghan, embedding the site in early Christian devotion. A cross-inscribed slab from that era still bears traces of an Irish inscription, now resting inside a disused schoolhouse. The building has changed hands and purposes, but the stone remains, waiting for someone to read what it once recorded.
