RATH in Leck

RATH

What is recorded here

Leck still holds the buried line of a lost Rath, though no wall stands to mark it. The land may have swallowed the fence, road or hall that gave the place its name. What remains is a shape of memory, waiting for someone to walk it and remember what it guarded.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
