Grave Yard in County Galway remains active beside its church, marking continuous local death and memory since at least 1882. It has grown south and west beyond its earlier rectangular shape, absorbing new grief as the community expanded. The stones still stand under national protection, witnessing ordinary lives rather than waiting for a distant visitor to give them meaning.

This graveyard, which is still in use, is associated with the church (GA070-089----) located in its NNE sector. On the 1934 edition of the OS 6-inch map it was roughly rectangular in plan (c. 73m N-S; c. 52m E-W) but it has subsequently been extended to the S and W. The earliest graveslab noted on inspection in August 1983 dated to 1882. This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 2/2002).
