Kyle burial is an unmarked loss in County Laois because workers found a skull and bones during a sandpit collapse in May 1956, then the remains disappeared without investigation. The absence of grave goods or stones does not make the person lesser; it withholds the story that might have been told.

The files of the National Museum of Ireland records that in May 1956 human remains were discovered following a collapse at a sandpit at Kyle, near Timahoe, Co. Laois (Cahill & Sikora 2011, Vol. 2, 490). According to the workers in the sandpit, a human skull and some bones were noted, but no grave goods or structural stones were noted in the vicinity.
