What is recorded here

Located in a slight E-W dip or fold between a rise to the N and the ridge of Knowth c. 200m to the S, and at the W edge of the central enclosure of the burial ground (ME019-028----). Archaeological excavation (02E0726) revealed four shallow circular pits placed in a rectangular pattern c. 1-2.5m apart which could represent the remains of a trapezoidal structure. One of the post-holes produced radiocarbon dates of 549-648 cal. AD and 561 - 652 cal. AD. (Stout and Stout 2008, 43-5) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 8 June 2021
