What is recorded here

No stone or soil marks the Knoppoge fort now, yet a shadow still moves through the fields where it stood. The land remembers the circle even when the eye fails to find it.

This site appears on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps as a large circular enclosure. It can also be picked up as a crop mark on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974).
