What is recorded here
On a flat break of a S-facing slope, in upland grazing with gorse and ferns. There are limited views upslope from W-N, the view E is dominated by Mount Leinster, there are very good views to the S and SW with the Blackstair Mountains visible in the distance. There is a standing stone (CW019-066001-) c. 140m to the NW, an enclosure (CW019-068----) 80m to the SW and a ring-cairn (CW019-069----) c. 280m to the ESE. A granite standing stone (H 0.85m), roughly rectangular in plan (dims. max. L 1.05m; max. Wth 0.36m) which tapers towards the top (Wth 0.15m). The S face has fractured and split away leaving a ledge roughly half way up the stone. There is hollow around the base of the stone as a result of cattle trampling.
